对于这份新内阁名单，保守党奥图尔指责特鲁多奖励那些“表现出无能”的部长，抨击新内阁成员“缺乏经验”，威胁加拿大“经济繁荣和国家团结”。奥图尔今天抨击总理特鲁多的新内阁阵容，称他组建了一群“基本上没有经验的意识形态者。”（largely inexperienced and ideological individuals），这些人对加拿大民族团结和大流行后的经济复苏构成威胁。奥图尔表示，特鲁多的内阁人选是他“形式重于实质”（style over substance）的又一个例子。奥图尔说：“今天内阁的变化只是总理继续奖励那些一贯表现出无能和缺乏问责制的部长的另一个例子。”
